Kevin Lee Grady was born on June 24, 1986 in Ada, Michigan. In January, he enrolled at the University of Michigan and being able to participate in both Rose Bowl and spring practices He also enrolled in division of Kinesiology with an undeclared major.
Grady first attended at the East Grand Rapids High School in 2005. He is a four-year varsity starter at running back and coached by Peter Stuursma. Grady can ran 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds and bench pressed 370 pounds. He also led the team to Michigan Division III state championship as a sophomore and junior.
Grady earned his first varsity letter as a freshman in the University of Michigan Wolverines. He played in 11 games and made two starts at tailback. He was the second on the team in rushing with 121 carries for 483 yards (4.0 avg.). Grady led the team with five rushing touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 113 yards (8.1 avg.).
Kevin Grady holds the state of Michigan Wolverines career records of 1,154 carries, an 8,431 rushing yards, 151 touchdowns, 924 scoring and a 24 successive 100-yard rushing games. In, 2002, he scores 24 points vs. DeWitt . In 2003, Grady set a 239 rushing yards against Allen Park. In his final three seasons, he surpassed the 2,000-yard rushing barrier. Grady gained 1,462 rushing yards on 229 attempts and scored 31 times when he was a freshman and eventually became the first freshman to make Grand Rapids Press Dream Team. As a sophomore, Grady carried the pigskin 295 times for 2,097 yards and scored 43 touchdowns. Grady scored 34 touchdowns and carried the ball 298 times for 2,365 yards as a senior.
